Brett Favre's Greatest Defeats Snatched from Victory

Sometimes it's impossible to tell if Brett Favre has been in the NFL for 19 seasons, or if he's a rookie. Even when he's nearly certain to win, he figures out a way to blow a game. Here's his greatest examples below.

3.) January 24th, 2010 - NFC Championship Game

He had an open field ahead of him, and needed a few yards to give his kicker a little extra padding for a game-winning field goal. But, instead lets throw out the first thing you learn in QB school and throw across your body good for a pick.

After the game, Brett had to say "I probably should have ran it".

2.) January 20th, 2008 - NFC Championship

On Brett's second farewell tour, he made it to the NFC Championship game vying for a crack at the undefeated Patriots. For a game that they were on the brink of winning, in true Favre fashion, he made an ill-advised pass to Donald Driver, only to have it end up in the arms of Giant's Corey Webster.

With the ball in hand, the Giants drove down to kick a game winning field goal to later go on to end the Patriots perfect season.

1.) January 11th, 2004 - NFC Divisional Playoff

It wasn't just Brett who blew the game as much as the rest of the Packer defense. The Packers had a 3-point lead and had the Eagles stopped at 4th and 26. You would have thought this would have been a sure thing. But not when Freddie Mitchell broke open in the middle of the field for a 28 yard completion. The Eagles tied it up and took the game into overtime.

Overtime was a battle for who wanted it least. The Eagles went 3 and out only to find that Brett was no to be outdone. He did his best to impersonate a punter by throwing a ball with a whole lot of air only to find Brian Dawkins on the receiving side. It only took a few plays later for David Akers to kick a game-winning field goal.
